Does adding Hashtags on a post you want to run sponsored Ads for have any effect?

Let's find out

First, what is the function of a Hashtag?

To increase your reach organically, right? Although when used correctly, can reach your Target Audience too.

And what is the function of a sponsored Ads?

To increase your reach at a cost and also reach your target audience when targeted properly.

So at this point, I believe you already know what the answer is but just to prove a point.

 

And note that I didn't turn the Ad directly on my clients page because of his personal reasons so the CTA was for prospects to visit my clients page.

So you can see that Prospects visited both his page and mine.

And from the insight, there was no value from the Hashtags I included in the Comments.

Also, I researched this to see other experts opinion on it, and clearly they stated the same, you can find it on my blog via the link in my profile.

Hope you are clear now? So there is no need adding Hashtags to your sponsored ads if you are running the Ads on your Instagram page which I advise against except you are not going to be bothered when your organic performance drops.

And if you are running the Ads from your Ads manager, then it makes no sense to Add the hashtag to your sponsored Ads as I suspect it may negatively impact your Ad.
