What  Email does for you

Are you still still using yahoo mail? Come on, don’t you know that the Gmail has stepped on the toes of the these old model email hosters such as yahoo, hotmail, co.uk, etc. Even if you still have some of this old email accounts, it is still a necessity to open a gmail account because you are denying yourself a whole of benefits. Exciting and useful things you can do with your gmail account includes:

1. Sending and receiving mails at a faster speed

2    2.  Permanently storing your phone contacts so that you can stop spending unnecessarily by paying mtn, etisalat or other mobile networks each time you need to backup your contacts

3    3.  Exciting apps to make your work easier, whether business associated tasks or your regular personal tasks. This includes ;

a.       google drive- for storing your videos, recordings, photos and files

b.      Blogger-This is a free google platform that allows you own your own blog where you can share information  such as text, pictures, videos, etc about your life, passion, interest and whatever to the world. You can also make money from your blog by setting up a google adsense account and enabling it as a one of your blog gadgets.

c.       Google docs- this is more like a digital folder kit. It provides you with many tools to solve varieties of needs such as writing reports, letters, essays creating charts, presentations, etc which you can share with whomever via social medias.

d.      Google Adsense- This enables you to make money from your websites or blogs by allowing advertisements which when clicked, you get paid by google.

e.      Adword- this is a very powerful tool that you can use to advertise businesses or to create awareness and campaign for a brand, function, elections etc.

f.        Google Forms- This is what you can use to create questionnaires, surveys, interviews or database. This is so important and a must have for every trendy and classy project whether personal or business. As a student, you can use   it to send questionnaires via social media on any topic for projects or assignment instead of having to making hardcopies and battling with the stress of distributing it around and still having to go about to collect them back. You can export your survey or questionnaire results to Microsoft excel for statistical purposes.

g.       Youtube- you can setup a youtube channel where you will share videos of yourself, or business, to the world; you never can tell who will sign a business deal after watching your video. This serves as a great marketing tool.

There are so many other useful google apps not mentioned here such as google finance, admob, google earth, that you can benefit from but only if you own a Gmail account. You can easily set up your own google account in few minutes whether through a phone or laptop.

        I.            On your browser search bar, type “sign up for gmail
